HOLY ROSARY – Thursday – Luminous Mysteries
SIGN OF THE CROSS
By the sign of the Holy Cross,
from our enemies deliver us, O Lord, our God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. AMEN.
So that our prayer may be pleasing to God, let us purify our hearts by repenting of our sins. Let us all pray together the Act of Contrition.
APOSTLES’ CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son,
our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary;
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God,
the Father Almighty.
From there He will come to judge
the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.
ACT OF CONTRITION
O my God,
I am heartily sorry for having offended You,
and I detest all my sins
because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell,
but most of all because they offend You, my God,
who are all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace,
to sin no more,
to confess my sins,
to do penance,
and to amend my life.
Amen.
Luminous Mysteries of the Holy Rosary
First Mystery
The Baptism of Christ in the Jordan

Jesus answered: Let it be so now, for it is fitting that we should fulfill all righteousness. When Jesus was baptized, the heavens opened, and the Spirit of God descended upon Him like a dove. And a voice from Heaven said: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
